Jacob Temminck, bapt. 15 November 1748 Amersfoort - 15 August 1822 Lausanne.
Father of Coenraad Jacob Temminck. Treasurer of the Dutch East India Company. Lived at the
Heerengracht, near the Leidschegracht at Amsterdam. In his house he lodged a collection of
stuffed birds and nearby he had an aviary. He got many birds via Levaillant.
